This tool sizes power capacity only. Long LED runs may also require
power injection, larger wire, or additional circuits to control voltage
drop. Never parallel the DC outputs of separate power supplies unless
the manufacturer specifically permits it.
How this calculator works
Total connected load is calculated from watts per foot × length per run × number of runs.
The calculator then divides that load by 0.80, leaving approximately 20% capacity headroom instead of operating the power supply at its full nameplate rating.
