This dimmer switch and power supply combo is ideal for LED strip light installations. It’s helpful that the driver and dimmer are matched to work smoothly together without flicker or buzzing. The dimmer slider is responsive and gives a wide dimming range from very low ambient lighting to full brightness.
Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic wiring. My husband installed it with no problems at all, and he's not an electrician but he's kind of a jack of all trades so to speak. It works in single-pole or 3-way setups, which makes it flexible for different room configurations. Once he got it installed, it looked perfect! A clean, integrated look on the wall that eliminates the need for separate power adapters.

Worked on my test setup - in the wall in a year ?
Ordered this: Dimmer Light Switch & 24V 96W Dimmable LED Driver 2 in 1 - for future use as an undercabinet kitchen light dimmer. Typically you use a TRIAC dimmable ballast and then a normal LED dimmer switch. This combines both into a single device. I was able to dim a 24 v test strip fairly well. As an electrician I respect that it is UL listed and the documentation and presentation is excellent. If it holds up over time and can actually drive the total wattage listed it would make for an easier installation. You will need an extra deep box. My concern is that most drivers get hot, and the better ones have a metal housing that operates as a heat sink. I am concerned about this being inside a box with other 120 wiring and heat dissipation. Using an extra large metal box may help but heat is the killer of electronics over time... This is a little bit more than a TRIAC driver plus brand name LED dimmer, but you wont have to deal with locating the transformer... worth a try but only time will tell if this is a better solution. This brand makes a good quality TRIAC dimmer...
