Dimmable Drivers
- Control: TRIAC, ELV, MLV, 0–10V, PWM (model-dependent)
- Listings: UL-listed, ETL, RoHS, Class 2, Type HL, (see spec sheet per model)
- Output: 30W-300W Sized for 20% headroom above load
- Environment: Indoor/outdoor models available
Quick Sizing Example
For a 24V COB LED strip rated at 3 W/ft over a 32 ft total run:
3 × 32 = 96 W. Add a 20% safety margin → approximately 115 W recommended driver capacity (round up to the next available model). For runs beyond roughly 16 – 20 ft, consider feeding power from both ends or using multiple drivers to maintain brightness uniformity and reduce voltage drop.
For longer installations or higher-power applications, we also offer 48V COB LED strips, which allow for longer, more stable runs with improved efficiency and reduced power loss. These are ideal for large-scale commercial or architectural projects.
FAQ
- Can I control these lights with my existing dimmers or building controls?
- Yes. Choose a driver that matches your control method (TRIAC/ELV, 0–10V, PWM, or DALI). For larger venues, DMX via compatible interfaces is common.
- Are the outdoor strips truly weather-resistant?
- Use the IP rating that matches your exposure. IP67 models are sealed for wet environments; ensure proper end cap sealing and strain relief during installation.
- What wire gauge should I use for long runs?
- It depends on total current and distance. For longer runs, upsize wire gauge and/or split the run with feeds at both ends to reduce voltage drop.
- Do you offer bulk pricing for multi-site projects?
- Yes. See Wholesale Program or contact sales for batch-matched inventory.
